WHAT IF YOUR DJ GETS SICK?

Music On Demand DJs takes your event seriously and plans for the unexpected.In the rare event that the assigned DJ is unable to perform due to illness, injury, emergency, or other circumstances beyond our control, Music On Demand DJs reserves the right to provide a qualified replacement DJ with comparable experience and professionalism.If a replacement DJ is provided, this will be considered full fulfillment of the agreement, and no refunds or discounts will be issued due to a change in personnel.If no suitable replacement DJ is available — which is extremely rare — Music On Demand DJs’ liability shall be limited to a full refund of all payments made by the Client. Music On Demand DJs shall not be liable for any additional damages, costs, or losses beyond the refund amount.

WHY IS THERE A LOCKOUT DATE?

The lockout date exists to ensure your event receives the highest level of preparation, accuracy, and attention to detail.By the lockout date, all final planning information—such as timelines, special requests, key songs, announcements, and coordination details—must be submitted. This allows your DJ to properly review your plans, prepare equipment and music, and coordinate with your venue and other vendors.After the lockout date, changes are not guaranteed and may not be accommodated. This policy helps prevent last-minute errors, miscommunication, and unnecessary stress, allowing your DJ to focus on delivering a smooth, well-executed celebration.The lockout date is in place so you can relax and enjoy your event, knowing everything has been thoughtfully prepared in advance.

WHY CASH FOR OVERTIME?

Overtime is offered as a same-day extension of services and is handled directly with the DJ onsite. Because overtime decisions are often made in the moment—when the dance floor is full and the celebration is in full swing—cash allows the DJ to quickly and seamlessly extend services without interrupting the flow of your event.Handling overtime as a cash option:Allows for immediate confirmation of additional timePrevents post-event billing or unexpected invoicesEnsures your DJ can continue without delays or administrative distractionsKeeps the experience smooth and stress-free for you and your guestsOvertime is always optional, never assumed, and only offered if the DJ and venue schedule allow. Your DJ will clearly communicate the rate and available extension time before any overtime is accepted.This policy is designed to keep the focus on your celebration—not paperwork.

WHAT IF THE VENUE LIMITES VOLUME?

Some venues enforce sound ordinances, decibel limits, or specific volume restrictions. These limitations are set by the venue, local regulations, or governing authorities and are outside the DJ’s control.Music On Demand DJs will always comply with venue rules and legal requirements. Volume restrictions imposed by the venue do not constitute a failure to perform and do not qualify for a refund or service reduction.We will do everything possible within the allowed limits to maintain energy and guest engagement while respecting venue requirements.

WHAT IF GUESTS DAMAGE EQUIPMENT?

The Client is responsible for the conduct of their guests. If DJ equipment is damaged, tampered with, or interfered with by guests, vendors, or other attendees, Music On Demand DJs and HOST(s) are not responsible for any interruption of services.In such cases:No refunds will be issued for service interruptionsThe Client may be held financially responsible for repair or replacement costsThe DJ may suspend services if continued operation would risk further damage or safety concernsThis policy helps protect everyone involved and ensures safe operation of professional equipment.

WHY IS THERE NO REFUND FOR WEATHER?

Weather conditions—including rain, wind, extreme temperatures, or severe weather warnings—are outside the DJ’s control. For outdoor events, Music On Demand DJs reserve the right to suspend or refuse service if conditions pose a risk to equipment, safety, or performance quality.Weather-related delays, cancellations, or limitations do not constitute a breach of contract and do not qualify for a refund.Clients are encouraged to secure a weather-safe backup plan or alternate indoor location. If the event is moved, the DJ will be provided reasonable time to set up without penalty for the delayed start time.This policy exists to protect guests, equipment, and event staff while ensuring professional standards are maintained.a

WHAT IF THE CLIENT DOES NOT LIKE THE MUSIC?

Music selection is based on the Client’s submitted preferences, planning forms, and real-time guest response during the event. Music On Demand DJs will make every reasonable effort to honor requested styles, must-play selections, and do-not-play lists.Because musical taste is subjective, dissatisfaction with music selection alone does not constitute a failure to perform and is not grounds for a refund, provided the DJ has followed the agreed-upon planning details and event timeline.Clients are encouraged to communicate preferences clearly prior to the lockout date and to designate one primary contact during the event for any reasonable music adjustments.This policy ensures expectations are aligned while allowing the DJ to professionally manage the flow and energy of the event.

WHAT IF GUESTS CREATE SAFTY CONCERNS?

Music On Demand DJs reserve the right to pause or stop services if guest behavior creates a safety risk to attendees, staff, equipment, or the venue. This includes, but is not limited to, aggressive behavior, intoxication, interference with equipment, or unsafe use of the dance floor or event space.If services are paused or discontinued due to safety concerns:The situation does not constitute a failure to performNo refunds or credits will be issuedThe Client remains responsible for the full contract amountServices may resume once the situation is resolved and it is safe to continue, at the DJ’s discretion.This policy exists to protect guests, vendors, and the overall success of the event.
